Learning From Each Other

When we began our journey toward owning a fifth wheel, we didn’t know a great deal about RVs or the RV lifestyle. Many years ago, I owned a Coleman tent trailer and traveled across the country with it, and Pat and I had rented a Class C motorhome for a vacation, so we had some basic, if somewhat outdated, experience.

We also had friends who had enjoyed the RV lifestyle in the past, as well as others who currently own RVs. Their advice and firsthand experiences were invaluable as we researched our options. The amount of information available online can be overwhelming, but as we mention elsewhere on this website, we took our time, gathered information from a variety of sources, and made the decision that best fit our needs.

Our choice was a 39-foot Keystone Cougar fifth wheel with four slide-outs, pulled by a Ford F-350 diesel.

The purpose of this website is to share what we’ve learned and experienced along the way. We hope you’ll join us by subscribing to the blog and sharing your own experiences. If you have a question, ask away. We may know the answer, and if we don’t, there’s a good chance one of our readers will.
