About Us

Lets get this started.  My wife (Pat) and I have long talked about getting a RV and traveling the country when we retired. Now, our full retirements are here.

A little background on us.  We both are retired from public safety careers.  I was a police officer for the St Paul Police Department in Minnesota and Pat worked in the 911 center as a dispatcher.  We both retired from there in our 50's and took on part time work to keep us active and build for our full retirement when we hit 65 yrs or so.

We have a large growing family with 11 grandkids of various ages and personalities, so we keep very busy between our work and family.  We own a Goldwing motorcycle and have done lots of cross country riding with friends over the years.  Last count we have been in all but 6 states on the bike and hope to get that total to 49 in the next few years.  More on that as it comes along.

In 2019, just before Covid 19 was something we all first heard about, we were talking about our dreams of what retirement was going to be like.  We had the realization that after always saying "someday we are..." that someday is here.  Its time we start doing the things we have dreamed about for years.

After a talk with our financial planner we hit the RV websites and local RV dealership to make our selection.

This Blog is going to be about our lives and RVing.  We have learned a lot about RVs, what to do and what you shouldn't do by research trail and error.  Feel free to post questions or comments.  I will say this, there is always more than one way to do things and RVing is no exception.

BNUS?

BNUS is a part of our lives together.  When we started seeing each other we found a great deal of joy in being ourselves with each other.  Not trying to be someone we weren't.  We always talked about was how comfortable it was to be ourselves with each other.  "Being Us" we called it and it morphed to BNUS.
